Ranveer Singh born (Ranveer Singh Bhavnani) on 6 July 1985 is an Indian actor working in the Hindi Film Industry. The 25-year old Ranveer, is a quintessential Mumbai boy, born n brought up in the maximum city. Ranveer wanted to be an actor since his childhood. He was a very filmy kid. But realising that getting a break in the film industry is not easy, Ranveer went to the USA to study at  the Indiana University, Bloomington. Coming back to Mumbai in 2007, he worked as a copywriter in advertising agencies. He also assisted friend Shaad Ali in various ad films.  

 Aditya Chopra was quick to see Bittoo in him when Ranveer auditioned for the role at the yashraj office. This boy next door went on to capture everyone's hearts when his Debut film Band Baaja Baaraat finally hit the screens. As Bittoo Sharma, a Saharanpuri Jatliving in Delhi University/hostel, Ranveer was spot on. Be it his love for bread pakoda or for the heroine Shruti Kakkad (Anushka Sharma), his ambitions or insecurities as a budding wedding planner, Ranveer amde it delightfully real, strongly rooted and entirely believable.
